During filming we spent a various amout of weeks to create this pychopathic slasher horror film. During this process we found multiple errors which needed to be fixed therefore, we could prevent them by using alternative shot types or editing techniques to create an effective outcome.
Various problems we faced within the group, were particularly when two of the other members left just before filming took place therefore, this disadvantaged us greatly due to minimal input from them. Although, this left us in a time of difficultly we managed to take control of the situation finding two other cast members to take part in the movie. Therefore, this was a great deal as it helped to mangage the situation.
The continuity of the film was a major problem due to having to film on different days and lighting and other aspects had changed slightly, also little items such as a new car air freshener affected this, to cover certain mishaps we cropped shots and reshot many, which we found time consuming, affecting the length of our film as a whole. Certain shots we found difficult included the crash shot, as we couldn't do this without specialist equipment and editing, therefore used a previous shot to crop and speed up with fast paced editing to create a crash like effect.
The diegetic sound was difficult due to not being able to use certain eerie songs, due to copyright, therefore we edited in a soundtrack off free sound, which we found extremely helpful. We also had to change location due to having unexposed light, which was dramatically dark, making it hard to vision anything on the camera, therefore we found a new location with minimal artificial light which provided just enough to clearly shoot, however still gave a dismal effect.
Overall, our film proved to reveal great difficulties we tried our best to overcome to create an outcome of a professional standard.
